The founder

Arden Santana

Arden Santana

Arden Santana is an educator, civic strategist and community architect with over a decade of work at the intersection of English language arts, civic literacy and organizational design.

She founded SAGE Civic Institute on two convictions: an uninformed constituency is a vulnerable one, and mastery of self is the prerequisite for civic engagement. Every framework she teaches begins there and builds outward toward community, institution and society.

Arden holds a Master's degree in Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology from the Graduate Institute, completed with a 4.0 GPA, and has spent her career designing learning experiences that meet people in their contradictions rather than lecturing them toward compliance.
